An important meeting of the Alonissos Fishing Association in Athens with the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food Mr. Christos Kellas took place today, Thursday 23 January 2025, the President, the Vice President and the Secretary of the Alonissos Fishing Association. Mr. Kella showed great interest in the issues concerning the coastal professional fishermen of our island.
Among the issues discussed were the weighing of fish, the continuation of compensation for damage to fishing gear from protected species until 2027, fish trafficking within the Northern Sporades National Marine Park, etc. The meeting was very successful and we believe that the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Tsiaras as Minister and Mr. Kellas as Deputy Minister, who always support the farmers, livestock farmers and fishermen of the country, will always be by our side, sensitive to the problems of our sector.
